Elena believes in people’s innate ability to heal, and that change and health are always possible. She approaches therapy as a partnership in which the client and the therapist work together to better understand sources of discomfort, stale patterns, unhappiness, or fear, and find a way towards experiencing life more fully and authentically. Elena approaches her work using an integrative therapeutic approach combining frameworks such person-centered, existential, mindfulness, somatic, psychospiritual, positive psychology, deep listening and attunement. This approach is flexible and inclusive, and it allows for consideration of a client’s mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing in a unified and holistic way.
Elena enjoys working with couples, adults (ages 18-90+) experiencing or challenged by anxiety, depression, grief and loss, peri-and menopause and various life transitions, 2SLGBTQIA+, intersectional identities, tauma (racialized, ancestral), non-monogamy/polyamory. Elena also specializes in psychedelic medicine preparation and integration, and spiritual discernment and development.
Off of the therapy chair, Elena enjoys connecting with nature, live music, yoga, chopping veggies, traveling, the ocean, singing loudly, good conversation, art, beauty, animals, and familia.
Elena is an independently licensed clinician. She earned a PhD in Educational Leadership and a MA in Counseling.
